You will always be treated with dignity and respect.
During the screening process a staff member will guide you through the admission process and will outline what you need to bring with you to begin your treatment process.
We understand this can be a stressful and challenging time for you and your loved ones so there is no expectation that you remember everything we tell you on the phone. We will do our best to answer any/all questions here. If there is anything not addressed, please feel free to call and we can answer any additional questions.
If you are interested in touring the facility prior to making a commitment to treatment, please feel free to call and we can set up an appointment, outside of our treatment schedule. We do understand this is a big step and we want you to feel comfortable.
Frequently Asked Questions
What type of insurance do you accept?
We accept medicaid and can help anyone who does not have insurance but needs to apply for medicaid. If you have any questions about your insurance coverage or lack thereof, please call.
What can I bring with me?
Please understand this is a short term Residential treatment program. There is enough space for you to bring appropriate clothing for up to a week (5-7 outfits, 2-3 pairs of shoes, undergarments and socks). Laundry can be done on the premises throughout the treatment experience.
You can also bring your own toiletries, though they can be provided if you do not have them. All toiletries are inspected to ensure they do not contain potentially hazardous chemicals. If someone brings something that cannot be used in treatment, it will be held in a locked location to be returned at discharge.
If you have prescription medications, please bring them with you in the original medication bottle with labeling. Prescription medications will be inspected by staff to ensure they are the correct prescription, for the correct person, with appropriate dosing information; to be reviewed by medical staff at admission.
Please do not bring illicit substances or alcohol, weapons or anything that can be used as a weapon, sexually explicit or revealing clothing, clothing that promotes violence (including gang colors), drug or alcohol use, et cetera...
What does treatment look like?
Behavioral health treatment is designed to provide an opportunity to make significant life changes and improve your overall quality of life. The program is designed with a clinical therapeutic concept in mind, this means you will be screened, evaluated, and assessed after completing necessary documentation and consents to ensure you are meeting the appropriate level of care by counseling staff and medical staff. Upon meeting criteria, you will be oriented to the program (introduction to community members, provided a tour of the facility including where your bedroom is located, emergency exits, and procedures regarding fire and overall safety). You will be provided a client handbook which outlines client rights, the grievance procedure, the treatment schedule, emergency protocols, and guidelines for each community member to follow. You will meet with a counselor to develop an individualized treatment plan and will be provided assignments to begin addressing what you believe to be your primary focus for treatment. You will be asked to engage in treatment programming immediately to include group attendance, therapeutic activities, industrial therapies, and volunteer work in the immediate community.
You can expect this treatment stay to be approximately 30 days, however depending on individual progress, treatment needs, outside circumstances may be shorter or longer. Each individual's treatment stay is specific to their own needs. Referrals will be made to a lower level of care upon completion (a higher level of care if needed).
When will I see Nurse Practitioner and how often?
You will see the Nurse Practitioner within the first 24-48 hours of your treatment stay. They will complete a full history and physical evaluation with you to ensure you are appropriate for the treatment facility and do not have any more significant medical concerns that should be addressed first. They will also review your medications and prescribe any medications you will need to be comfortable and successful in your treatment experience. Medications will be stored in a locked cabinet and self-administration will be monitored and documented by staff. The Nurse Practitioner will check in as necessary and will address any additional treatment needs.
How often will I meet individually with my counselor?
Individual sessions will occur at minimum weekly throughout treatment, but any time someone needs to see someone for an individual experience, we will make it happen. Our goal is to make sure you get what you came for.
Can my family come for visitation?
Family members are welcome to come for family education and counseling. Visitation schedules will be determined based on individual needs and will be discussed during treatment planning.
